Most Venetian restaurants combine New Year’s Eve dinner with musical entertainment that will accompany you to the final toast. You will have the opportunity to taste many local specialties: you can start with baccala mantecato for appetizer, and continue with Venetian liver with onion, ending it all with a good tiramisu for dessert.

According to Italian tradition, lentils are served at the end of the dinner, accompanied by zampone or cotechino: this custom is widespread all over the country,  and lentils represent a good omen and hope for prosperity for the new year.
